Eighth Avenue Place Coffee Shop

We believe that true “fellowship” takes more than meeting for coffee hour. In fact, we think it takes an entire coffee shop – literally!

Please join us for coffee every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning between 7 AM-12 NOON.

Under the leadership of Eighth Avenue Place Staff, the coffee house is brewing with diversity and various resources for those who may be in need of casework services.

Be careful – It is common for people get challenged to play Scrabble and/or Uno!

The Gathering

We gather on the first and third Saturdays of each month around tables of good food and great stories.

Please join us between 3:00 – 4:30 pm for a community meal followed by a worship service from 5:00 PM – 6:15 pm.

Gathering Location:
908 Ann Street
Homestead, PA 15120

As a worshiping Christian congregation, we gather together in the celebration of Holy Communion. In keeping with our United Methodist tradition, we confess that all are invited to the Lord’s Table to taste and see his goodness.

Drug & Alcohol Recovery and Partnership with Christian Counseling Associates

Eighth Avenue Place continues to be a place of healing and support for those who are interested in living a life free from the grip of addiction.

We run an “in-house” Christian 12-step recovery group that welcomes all addictions. The Eighth Avenue Place 12-Step meeting gathers at 7:00 pm on Monday nights at the coffee shop location.

To properly care for and support those with mental health concerns, Eighth Avenue Place has an on-site social worker who provides counseling services as well as program referrals.

Valley Landscaping

In 2012, Eighth Avenue Place began an endeavor to offer urban youth gainful employment for the summer months. It began with a few lawnmowers and a willingness to serve.

Today, Valley Landscaping continues to offer summer employment while also offering quality lawn care and landscape services. Our work includes:

  • Grass cutting and weed removal

  • Bed development, planting, and mulching.

  • Retaining wall construction (2 feet and under)
